Cork Sanding Block 4-1/4" x 2-3/8" x 1-3/16"
A sanding block may seem like an unnecessary and outdated finishing tool, but there are times when the most efficient and best surface is achieved when using a hand sanding block. Cork is an ideal material for a semi-rigid sanding block and cork sanding blocks have been used for generations to smooth and flatten surfaces. Cork is firm enough to flatten a surface yet has just the right amount of give to conform to small imperfections in the wood, so every area gets sanded. We have found that sandpaper lasts longer and does not tear as often when using a cork sanding block. The body of a cork sanding block is comfortable to hold and use for extended periods of time. Cork blocks are also quite inexpensive, allowing you to have several on hand with different grits. You can wrap a quarter sheet of sandpaper around a block or stick PSA sandpaper to the bottom. They can be easily carved or shaped to conform to a variety of contours. These sanding blocks are made from cork composite and measure 4-1/4” x 2-3/8” x 1-3/16” thick and have a slight bevel on the top edge.
