These chisels are by Narex of the Czech Republic and are of exceptional quality. The blades are made from fine-grained, nicely tempered chrome-manganese steel and hardened to 59 HRc. The blades take and hold an excellent edge. The blades sides are ground straight with no bevel and the cutting bevel is ground at 25 degrees. Handles are stained Hornbeam and have solid brass ferrules to withstand vigorous mallet work. Blades have well-seated heavy steel tangs. They come in a retail box.

    Nice irons with a little work
    Irons required obligatory work to ensure backs were flat, and to remove mill marks to a polish. Some quick work on the bevel and they worked just fine. Negative? The handles are akin to entering the batters box and winding up to swing while holding onto the wrong end of the bat. Definitely will re-handle these.
