These WoodOwl Overdrive bits are designed to drill fast and clean holes in both hard and soft wood. Specially engineered for use in cordless drills, they require significantly less torque (up to 35% less) and also work quite well in a drill press. These bits will not clog when drilling deep holes due to their deep flutes that efficiently carry away chips. The unique chamfer on the outside cutting rim allows them to start on target, drill fast, and create clean holes with minimal to no blowout. Made from fully induction-hardened, S55C high-carbon steel, these bits are precision ground for cutting accurately sized holes. Built to stay sharp and last long, these bits deliver exceptional durability and performance for all your drilling needs. Made in Miki, Japan.

Bits are 6-1/2" long and have a 1/4" quick hex shank.

    Clean and fast
    I'll admit it. I was influenced by a YouTuber 'twcdesign' He's a wood joint wizard and uses these bits. I have to say, I'm impressed. They cut a very clean hole, virtually as clean as my new Fisch forstner bits, and surprisingly with a flat bottom that is slightly flatter better than a forstner bit, as the brad point is smaller. But best of all, they cut very quickly compared to a forstner bit. No burning, no hard effort. They are designed for drills, but I used them with a drill press. They are longer bits than you might like for a drill press, but so long as you have an adjustable table, it's no issue. How long with they stay sharp, I cannot say, but I should think much longer than a forstner bit as heat dulls bits and they cut quick. I recommend.

    These are amazing. The bit cut well and the holes are clean. High quality tools.
