WoodOwl 7-1/2" Standard Ship Augers

WoodOwl has been manufacturing premium woodworking drill and auger bits in Miki, Japan, since 1923. Although production is highly mechanized, many critical operations are still performed by skilled craftsmen. Each bit is milled and ground from solid steel blanks rather than cast or forged. Each bit is then hand sharpened to ensure maximum cutting performance.

These Standard Ship Auger Bits feature a single-flute, single-cutter design without spurs, allowing them to cut through embedded nails without significant damage. Made from specially formulated S55C high-carbon steel, the cutting heads are induction hardened to 58 HRC for durability and edge retention. 

Compatible with cordless and corded drills as well as hand braces. Each bit is supplied in a protective storage tube and can be resharpened using a WoodOwl Feather Sharpening File.
