Temple Tool Co. was founded by renowned woodworker Chris Schoenberg of Third Coast Craftsman. The company's goal is to combine superior Western and Japanese craftsmanship, ensuring top-notch quality and style in their premium tools, all at an honest and affordable price.

The Higonogami is a traditional-style folding pocket knife, originating in Japan in the late 19th century. This knife is a friction folder; it does not have a locking mechanism and is opened by applying pressure to the lever on top of the blade.

The steel blade is shaped to a 15° skewed point and has a single bevel, which both help in preventing drifting while marking up a workpiece. The back side of the blade is completely flat, allowing the blade to run accurately along a straight edge or ruler. The handle is crafted from folded solid brass for a sturdy, distinctive finish.

When not in use, it is recommended to apply a light oil to prevent tarnishing.
