This drawknife is a traditional woodworking tool designed for rapid stock removal, rough shaping, and green woodworking. Hand-forged from high-carbon steel, the blade is hardened and tempered for excellent edge retention. The straight, flat blade features a single-bevel grind, similar to an oversized chisel, allowing you to precisely control the depth of cut by changing the angle of the tool as you pull it toward you. It can be used bevel up or bevel down.

The cutting edge measures 7-3/4" long. The blade is flat and straight and is approximately 0.165" thick. The overall tool measures 16" wide by 6" deep and is fitted with two comfortable hardwood handles measuring 4-3/4" long by 1-1/8" in diameter for a secure, two-handed grip.

Ideal for shaping chair legs, spindles, tool handles, and other curved work, this drawknife also excels at removing bark, trimming tenons and quickly reducing rough timber to shape. Whether you're working with green wood or seasoned stock, this classic hand tool offers exceptional control and efficient material removal for traditional woodworking projects.
