This plane is a replica of the classic No. 92 Cabinet Maker's Rabbet Plane, originally designed by Stanley Works and produced from 1902 to 1969.

A highly versatile tool, it excels at cleaning up inside corners and refining parts for tight-fitting joinery. The blade extends across the entire width of the sole, allowing you to trim precisely into the corner of a rabbet or tenon's cheek and can remove extremely thin layers—down to just a few thousandths of an inch—creating a perfect fit for strong, long-lasting joints.

The body is precision-machined from ductile cast iron with ground soles and sides. The 0,730" wide cutting iron, made from hardened tool steel (55-60 HRc), is 0.110" thick with a 25° bevel. The blade will need to be sharpened and honed before use. The blade is bedded at 20° and adjusted via a solid brass knurled adjustment screw.

Overall dimensions are .730" wide, 6-1/2" overall length, and 2-1/4" tall, with a weight of 19 oz.

Comes in a presentation box.

well build plane for the money, finicky to setup
This thing cut right out of the box once I have the blade protrusion setup well, that takes a little playing around, but it's only a thing when I sharpen. I didn't even sharpen the iron yet and it was cutting well on oak. Very impressed for the money!

    Shoulder plane
I touched up the edge on the blade and used it on a display case I was building, made from walnut. The shoulder plane is a little tricky to adjust but once I figured it out the plane worked very nicely.

    Great Value
No it's not a Veritas or LN.... but for under $50 this is a pretty good alternative. Came perfectly packaged covered in rust inhibitor with a desiccant pack. I completely stripped it down and cleaned off the cosmoline to find a decent quality tool. Quick couple of swipes on the DMT finish stone and it was ready to go. I think it's a great little plane that'll bring years to service....and I've got an extra $100+ in my pocket.... I've been eye balling the large router plane....

    Shoulder Plane
Bought this to try out the new plane family. I spent about ten minutes setting it up - the sole was almost perfectly flat but I went ahead with about a dozen strokes on a diamond stone to make sure and to polish it up. Did the same for the blade and tried it out on some tenons that needed some minor adjustment. Took a few attempts to get the setting right but once the blade was adjusted for a fine cut then I went to work. For the cost, this is a great little tool. Recommended.
