The automatic Center punch is perfect for layout work and accurately marks starts for screws, nails and drilling preventing wandering. The punch stores energy in a spring and when pressed down releases this energy driving the point into the workpiece leaving a mark. The mark depth is adjustable by twisting the screw cap. The body and tip are made from hardened tool steel. The body is heavily knurled for easy handling.
