    Mirror finish
Final‑stage polishing on my plane irons, chisels, and knives — it’s the best strop to get a true mirror finish.

Taytools TT416 - Genuine Horse Butt Leather Strop
Please be informed that the Taytools TT416 - Genuine Horse Butt Leather Strop is among the finest products I have ever utilized. Recently, I began stropping my knives as a hobby and have invested several hundred dollars in search of a strop capable of sharpening my knives to the quality demonstrated on YouTube. After thorough research and a desire for razor-sharp knives, I discovered Taylor Tool Works. Upon receiving my order, I promptly realized that their Horse Butt Leathers were ideal for creating my own strops, enabling me to achieve the advertised razor-sharp results. I highly recommend that anyone seeking similar sharpening quality consider purchasing from Taylor Tool Works to experience the benefits firsthand. This approach will also save considerable expense in pursuit of superior tools. I advise visiting eBay to acquire suitable wood for your 3x12 strop and constructing one yourself to appreciate its effectiveness fully. Furthermore, Taylor Tool Works provides excellent customer service to address any inquiries or concerns. Sincerely, Alvarez

    Not horsing around
This large horse hide strop is big enough to handle the largest chisels, plane blades, and knives. Have them mounted so I can move from "rough" to fine. Use green paste on "rough" side and nothing on the smooth/fine side. Love cutting paper with a chisel. Want sharp, use a strop.

    That final little bit!!
I use the Horse Butt Leather strop with a spritz of diamond emulsion. You can see a difference in before and after when slicing paper as a test for sharpness.
