This automatic center punch is perfect for layout work and accurately marks starts for screws, nails, and drilling. It allows one-handed operation with no hammer required. The punch stores energy in a spring and when pressed down releases this energy driving the point into the workpiece leaving a mark. The mark depth is adjustable by twisting the screw cap.

The body and tip are made from hardened tool steel. The tip can be easily removed and resharpened.
