Details

Functioning similarly to a paring chisel, this chisel plane offers excellent depth control for flushing dowels or joints, cleaning right-angled corners, or removing dried glue. Due to having no sole in front of the blade, it offers unrestricted access to nearly any area for flush cuts.

The width of the 1/8" thick blade, made from A2 steel, is equal to the width of the body of the plane (1-3/4"). The dimensions of the sole is 4-1/2" x 1-3/4".

Just as described

Great feel and mine came with a flat sole and just needed to hone the blade a little. Getting the bottom flat was easy, specially if using the Rob Cosman approach (and whomever he copied it from). The blade had the 25 degree bevel so I just added a 30 degree mico. It is comfortable in my hand and it works fine.

Wow

Being the Lei Neilson fan that I am, I never expected this. I am very pleased with this chisel plane the fit and finish is outstanding. I figured I didn't need a high price tool knock off glue lines and nubs. Very pleased with this purchase.
