    As the very first tool from Swan Tool Group, the Merlin Flat Double Square fills me with pride every time I pick it up. The lay-flat design, built-in shelf tab, Tru-Mark edge, and pencil saddle make layout work incredibly accurate and effortless.     Blade is too thick
    The design is interesting but the "measuring" arm is way too thick to have any precision for marking a dimension. I doubt I'll use it much.

    High quality
    This is a well-made tool that does solve a few problems, such as measuring along the edge of a board, because of its retractable tab. The ruler markings are easy to read, too.
