No more broken fingernails—this can pull tab lifter is especially helpful for people with arthritis or anyone who has difficulty lifting pull tabs on dog food, tuna, or soup cans. It securely lifts the tab and pulls it back, allowing the can to open fully with minimal effort.
This versatile tool also works exceptionally well for releasing the vacuum seal on jar lids. Simply slide the tip under the lid where there is a small gap, then gently push or pull down on the handle to break the seal. Once released, the lid unscrews easily.
Designed with graceful, flowing lines, this pull tab opener is both functional and visually appealing, making it ideal for showcasing your finished work. Handles can be crafted from a wide range of materials, including wood, pottery, polymer clay, or ceramics.
Unlike typical openers that end up in a utensil drawer, this standing pull tab opener allows your artwork to be displayed when not in use.
Each opener is machined from solid 304 (18-8) stainless steel and includes a 3/8″ × 16 TPI threaded stud, 1/2″ long, for secure attachment to your custom-turned handle. When used with a Niles Bottle Stoppers self-tapping mandrel, no threaded insert is required. For most woods, use a 5/16″ stub drill bit; for dense woods, acrylics, or resins, use an 11/32″ stub drill bit.
