Robert Sorby Spindlemaster

This tool is an important addition to the spindle turners armory. It can be used to plane, bead, cove and trim end grain. It is easy to use and sharpen. The polished back bevel helps to produce a high quality finish with exceptional results on softer, traditionally more difficult woods like pine. Illustrated instructions are supplied. Made from high speed steel and then properly hardened and tempered. They will keep a sharpened edge about six times longer than carbon steel and resist "blued" softening from overheating during grinding or from heavy turning. It comes with a hard White Ash handle and brass ferrule.
