Details

Used to part the finished project off from the waste material, the parallel sides make for a rigid tool that handles well. This 1/8" tool reduces the amount of waste, vital if using an expensive wood. It also makes for a fine detailing tool, e.g. beads and fillets. Made from high-speed steel and then properly hardened and tempered. It will keep a sharpened edge about six times longer than carbon steel and resist "blued" softening from overheating during grinding or from heavy turning. Comes with hard White Ash handles and a solid brass ferrule.
