  • Robust Construction – Features a heavy cast-iron body, 3/8” x 2” flat steel guideways, and a 0.700” diameter Acme-thread drive screw for maximum clamping strength and rigidity. This vise weighs an impressive 33 pounds. The baked on finish and blackened threads prevent corrosion.
  • 360° Rotating Vise Body – Swivels freely and locks securely at any angle, providing complete access to all sides of your project without repositioning your workpiece or moving around your bench.
  • 360° Swiveling Hardwood Jaws – Clamps non-parallel and irregularly shaped parts with ease. The jaws can pivot freely or be locked at any angle for a precise hold.
  • Expansive Clamping Capacity – Jaws open 6” in standard mode and up to 14-1/2” when tilted, making it adaptable for a variety of parts and projects.
  • Non-Marring Grip – Hardwood jaws lined with rubber provide a firm, non-slip grip without damaging delicate surfaces. The jaws can also be removed and customized for specific tasks.

Easy Installation

    Awesome, Simply Awesome!
    This vise comes with a nicely hammered finish and solid wood jaws that are covered with a soft rubber coating to hold your items tight without marking it. The action moves smoothly when tightening/loosening and rotating the vise. I have used it to hold guitar necks which it does effortlessly and allows me to rotate the vise so I can move the guitar away from the bench to access hard to reach areas. The vise also works wonderfully for holding irregular shaped items such as spindles or asymmetrical items.I had wanted a vise like this for sometime and first looked at those that are significantly more money, only to be dissuaded by customer reviews as to the quality and finish of those more expensive vises. I happened upon this vise when searching online and saw that it cost considerably less than all of the others available and appeared to be high-quality. I was pleasantly surprised at just how beautifully crafted it is when it arrived and how well it works. I use it often and wish I'd bought it sooner. I highly recommend this pattern maker's/luthier's vise. You won't be disappointed.

    Solid, very nicely finished, smooth castings
    Great, versatile function. Machining operates very smoothly and all parts appear solid and well constructed. Castings are void-less, threads are clean. Taylor Toolworks was offering a special discount. I’d highly recommend.
