Pinie Classic Smoothing Plane with Beech Body and Hornbeam Sole

The Pinie Smoothing Plane is the perfect tool to remove minor imperfections, tool marks and chatter left by other planes or machinery. When finely tuned, it can take very thin shavings and create a smooth, polished and ready to finish surface. This plane includes a horn-shaped handle in place of a "knob", which allows for more balanced pressure applied across the length of the plane.

The CLASSIC body is crafted from European beech with a hornbeam sole, offering increased wear resistance and smoother gliding. It features a wedge-style blade adjustment that can be easily tuned with a few gentle taps of a mallet - tap the iron for a deeper cut, on the back of the plane body to retract, and on the top of the wedge to lock in your setting.
