Narex carbide insert lathe tools eliminate the learning curve in woodturning, making it easier and quicker to master. Unlike traditional turning tools that require learning and maintaining complex angles and motions, these tools are designed for simplicity. The tool bar rests flat on the tool rest, level with the floor, and can be plunged straight in or swept side to side to remove material. They are versatile, capable of turning spindles, bowls, platters, vessels, and more.

Each tool is equipped with a high-quality tungsten carbide tip, which maintains a sharp edge longer than traditional steel tools. This results in smoother finishes, more precise work, and eliminates the need for sharpening. When the tips become dull, they can be rotated to expose a sharp edge and replaced when all sides are worn out.

These tools are perfect for professional turners and hobbyists alike, offering ease of use and excellent performance.
  • Square Cutter (819503): Removes large amounts of material quickly and is suitable for finishing cuts on outside curves and making square shoulder cuts. Fitted with a 0.600” square cutter.
  • Radiused Square Cutter (819502): Ideal for removing large amounts of material quickly and for finishing cuts on outside curves and gentle inside curves. The radiused cutter prevents sharp corners from digging in. Fitted with a 0.600” square cutter with a 4” radius.
  • Round Cutter (819501): Shapes and smooths inside curves of vessels and cuts coves on spindles. Fitted with a 0.600” round cutter.
  • Diamond Cutter (819504): Cuts narrow beads and coves and can create dovetail recesses for chuck jaws. The diamond-shaped cutter is 0.400” wide x 1.100” long with a small radius on each tip.
