Narex Auger Bit File Tapered 7" x 1/2" x 1/8" Thick

This auger bit file allows you to properly sharpen vintage and modern auger-style bits and get them back to new working condition. Auger bits require sharpening in just two places: the main cutting edge and the outside cutting spur. This single cut file is specially designed to address both aspects of auger bit sharpening. On one end, the wide, flat faces have teeth and the narrow sides are smooth. The other end has teeth on the narrow sides but not on the flat faces. These two different cutting ends allow precise sharpening of the cutting edge and spurs without damaging adjacent faces. This file can also be used to sharpen brad point bits, spade bits and even corner chisels. Overall length is 7 inches, 1/2 inch wide and 1/8 inch thick. The center section has rounded, smooth corners making it comfortable to grip.
