Narex 2-Piece Mini Mortise Chisel Set

These mortise chisels are made by Narex of the Czech Republic and are of exceptional quality. The blades are made from fine-grained, nicely tempered chrome-manganese steel and hardened to 59 HRc. The blades take and hold an excellent edge. The blades are precision ground. The blades are ground at a 25 degree bevel. The blade width tapers 0.030" from tip to shoulder for sidewall clearance. The blade thickness tapers from 3/8" at the tip to 1/2" at the shoulder. Handles are stained Beech with 2 steel ferrules to withstand heavy plows from a mallet. The blades have a well-seated heavy steel tang.
