This forged steel, double-ended nail set is a traditional Japanese carpenter’s tool. It’s unique T-shaped design allows use as a general-purpose 6" nail set or as a 1-1/4" nail set in tight or awkward spaces. The extra-long shaft provides excellent control. It can also be used as a small tack hammer, drive punch or drift pin. Narrow end is .110” in diameter, short end is .140” square and anvil end is .330” square. Head height is 1-1/4". Overall length is 6-1/4”.

    Big help when driving nails in difficult locations
    The long pointy end is round and worked well when setting 8d casing nails. The short end is somewhat square and works well enough on casing nails, but even better on nails with slightly larger heads. This tool was invaluable when needing to make the final couple of blows to set some nails without damaging the surface. The only nitpick I could say is that the lacquer coating on the nail striking surface came off after repeated hammer blows, but that is really nothing as the nail set still looks new and feels good in the hand.
