These professional-grade wood threading sets are manufactured in Germany by FAMAG and includes both a tap and thread box for creating high-quality internal (female) and external (male) wooden threads. This set is ideal for a wide range of applications—from furniture and shelving to toys, nutcrackers, and lamp-making.

These sets are metric and work best with metric dowels that slip into the thread box and metric Forstner bits to drill holes for the thread tap.

External (male) Thread Box Features:

• Generously sized chip removal opening minimizes clogging and provides visibility during the cutting process

• Wear-resistant aluminum bushing ensures accurate guidance of the dowel rod

• Blade positioning is quick and precise thanks to its positive contact with the thread body. Cutter’s secure attachment to the body produces minimal chatter.

Internal Thread (female) Tap Features:

• Flat guiding pin section allows for precise alignment in pre-drilled holes

• Square drive shaft for use with tap wrenches (not included), enabling optimal force transfer
