The 420 Shoulder Rebate Plane fills the need for a light accurate shoulder plane. The body is machined from premium grey iron casting and precision ground on the sole and sides, with a bright ground finish. The lever arm is made of unbreakable malleable iron, fitting snugly into the body. The cutting iron rests smoothly on machined pads within the body and is adjustable via a knurled screw. All edges have been rounded for comfort during use.

The 3/4” wide cutting iron is made from high-quality oil-hardened tool steel, with a hardness of 59-61 Rockwell “C,” and is precision surface ground to 0.125″ thick. Replacement irons are available.
