These handy double squares are indispensable for setting up machinery and for performing a host of shop layout tasks.

They are manufactured in accordance with EEC Class 1 accuracy standards and are guaranteed to be square to within 0.0015 (one and a half thousandths of an inch) over the length of each blade.

They have hardened and tempered no-glare satin chrome stainless steel blades. Blade marking are precision photo etched and then black filled for easy readability. Blades have quick reading graduation markings with 1/8th and 1/16th on both sides. Traditionally, the most common graduation markings used by woodworkers are 4R, or 1/8ths and 1/16ths on one side and 1/32nds and 1/64ths on the reverse. The fact is most woodworkers never use the finer 1/32nd and 1/64th markings as they are hard to read, too precise for most tasks, and just plain confusing, e.g., just what does 51/64th or 19/32nds really mean? So, we had these squares made with the most commonly used 1/8th and 1/16th graduation marks on both sides.

Square heads are cast and then precision machined. Square head color is Square heads lock down tight via locking knob.

Squares come in a cardboard box.

Available in with either a 4” or 6” blade.

Replacement screws available.

Not square and blade doesn’t hold firm
The unit I received is not suitable for fine woodworking. The blade is not square to the head. After tightening the locking knob firmly, the blade still has some movement and can be rocked on the head.I do like that it has 1/8 and 1/16 inch markings only, and for measuring a distance from an edge I guess it would be ok.I will look for something better.

    very nice
I've had something like this on my Christmas list for the last three years. Finally bought one for myself. If I was a metal machinist, I would relish the sharp edges on both the straight edge and the heel, but they are a bit too sharp for me as a woodworker. Dressed a SMALL radius on all with 400 grit and much nicer to work with.Locking screw is just a bit fussy. Holds securely, but tends to jam just a bit after it's tightened. I occasionally have to put all the work down on the bench to free up both of my 79-year-old hands to grunt to release the lock.

    Not good
The size and shape are good, the problem with this particular tool is that the gnarled knob that is to “lock” the blade in position, does not hold with finger tightening. No to using a tool to tighten. Will not keep position.
