    Works great for spoon making
I make a lot of spoons and kitchen utensils plus I carve handles for walking canes out of very hard woods. I often hold things in my hand and use gouges on them. Too often I slip and fairly forcefully shove the gouge into my hand resulting in cuts. Since I have been using these gloves over the last year or so, I have had zero stitches and have not had to buy boxes of bandages in a while. The gloves will fit on either hand and are comfortable to wear. They breath and my hand does not get sweaty inside them. I am also able to maintain a good grip on things un-like the chainmail oyster shucking gloves that cost a lot more. I don’t usually slip much while using a carving knife, but I did test an old one I was about to retire and the the knife did not go through the glove.

Cut one the fingers within a week a use
If using for whittling Id recommend buying better gloves; the tip of on the glove fingers cut right through too easily on a knife slip.
