These Forstner bits drill clean, precise, flat-bottomed, and through-holes in softwoods, hardwoods, end grain, and irregular grain. They can also be used to drill angled or overlapping holes and holes that extend beyond the edge of your workpiece.

The serrated saw teeth on the outer rim ensure accurately sized holes while reducing friction and heat buildup, minimizing tear-out, and producing smooth holes even in the most challenging grain patterns. The sharp center spur provides precise bit positioning, helping to start your hole exactly where intended while minimizing wandering throughout the cut. Large gullets efficiently remove chips.
