WoodOwl Plug Cutter Pilot Hole Countersink Combo Sets

This WoodOwl plug cutter / countersink set is the perfect combination to hide plugged holes in woodworking projects. Plugs can be made from matching wood better camouflaging screw holes. The countersunk bit allows drilling of the pilot hole and counterbore in one operation. The tapered pilot drill produces a hole shaped like a screw shaft allowing maximum gripping of threads. The pilot drill features a single twist, fast pitch design that drills fast and straight and works equally well in hardwood and softwood, as well as green wood. The plug cutter is perfectly matched to the countersink bit with no taper and slightly over-sized for a tight and perfect fit. The plug cutter can be used with a drill press, but also works well surprisingly when using a cordless drill. Plug cutter and countersink have hex shanks shafts. Bits are made from high-carbon S55C steel specially designed for WoodOwl bits. Cutting edges are fully induction hardened to 58 HRC.
