Narex Heavy-Duty Carpenter Chisel with 30mm (1-3/16") Wide Blade and 1.600" Diameter Oversize Handle

This heavy-duty Narex Carpenter's Chisel features a thicker blade and larger handle than other Narex chisels, making it ideal for rough tasks that involve removing larger amounts of wood with heavy strikes. It’s perfect for timber framing tasks such creating notches,  wasting away tenons and cleaning out mortises.

The blade is 30mm wide, 6" long, and a full 3/8" thick at its thickest point. Forged from traditional Cr-Mn steel and heat-treated to 59 HRc, the blade will take and hold a keen edge.

The 6-1/2" long by 1.600" diameter oversized handle is made from hard beech wood and features a steel ferrule, leather shock washer, and stainless-steel hoop—built to withstand powerful mallet blows.
