Thomas Flinn is the oldest remaining traditional hand saw maker in Sheffield, England. Thomas Flinn produces an extensive range of saws under famous traditional brands like Pax, Lynx, William Greaves and Dorchester. Thomas Flinn is known for making reasonably-priced, professional-quality western-style hand saws. This saw is made from world-renowned Sheffield allow spring steel. The saw plate is held straight and true by a thick and solid brass spine. It comes with a handle made from stained European Beech and has brass button screws. The handle is attractive and comfortable in use. The 14" blade has a maximum depth of cut of 3-1/8". It has 15 TPI and is filed for crosscutting, making it perfect for cutting tenon cheeks. This saw can be resharpened.
