Ligno-Scanner D – Pinless Moisture Meter 1/4" Scanning Depth
The Ligno-Scanner S is a unique pinless moisture meter measuring only to 1/4″ deep. As for all Ligno-Scanners, corrections for different wood species are built-in. The shallow depth allows accomplishing tasks, that the standard 3/4″ pinless meters cannot do:
—Boards, floors, panels less than 3/4″ thick can be measured accurately with the 1/4″ depth-specific calibrations. The Scanner S also works for engineered products and veneers 1mm thick and up. For thinner veneer we recommend measuring a stack of a few sheets.
–Since the Ligno-Scanner S is sensitive to surface moisture, the meter is often used to check waterborne finishes between coatings, as well as for industrial cleaning jobs.
–Non-wood building materials are tested up to 1/4″ deep with the reference scale. A great feature for Compare and Search Mode in restoration applications. If needed, accurate wood moisture measurements can be obtained at any time selecting one of the built-in settings for species corrections.
The Ligno-Scanner D is a single depth pinless moisture meter, measuring depth 3/4″. The moisture meter is equipped with all functions necessary to produce accurate wood moisture measurements corrected for different species, and is often used for woodworking, flooring and inspections. For restoration applications, the reference scale comes in handy to quickly detect high and low moisture levels in building materials.
