Piher was founded in 1957 by brothers Ricardo and Juan Piqueras, who patented the company’s signature piston clamping system. Unlike traditional clamps that use a single threaded screw, Piher’s design employs dual, oppositely threaded screws housed in a metal cylinder. This mechanism increases clamping force by approximately 40% and jaw movement speed by 50%, while allowing the clamp pad to advance without rotation, eliminating torsional stress.

The same patented system remains central to many of Piher’s clamp models today. The company continues to specialize exclusively in clamping technology, recognized for producing tools with high strength, efficiency, and durability, suited for demanding professional applications.

Features:
  • The ergonomically shaped, multi-positionable pivoting handle allows the generation of maximal torque. The handle swivels 90 degrees in either direction and can lock into place for additional leverage. Can use it in the in-line position where space is limited.
  • The clamp pad advances like a piston with no rotation or twisting forces that could lead to misalignment or marring of work pieces.
  • Comes with the unique Double Thread Piston system. The piston clamping system is unique in that it uses dual-threaded screws with both upper and lower threads encased inside a metal cylinder. These dual threads are threaded opposite one another and work together to multiply the force produced by 40% and the speed it takes to open/close by 50%. The completely encased threads keep out weld spatter, dust, glue, and protect the threads from damage.
  • Triangular teeth on threads have more surface area and generate maximal pressure.
  • Indestructible malleable cast-iron jaws are finished with a durable epoxy coating for protection against wear and corrosion. The bi-directional grooved faces provide a firm grip on pipes and irregular or angled workpieces, while the curved jaw heads allow clamping around edges and protrusions.
  • Manufactured in Spain - all materials sourced within the European Union
