This 4-piece set contains the following 90-degree Try Squares: 3”, 5”, and 7”, alongside a 3” 45/90 Calibration Triangle
Handcrafted one at a time by Devon Campbell in his workshop in Queensland, Australia, Iron Bark Tools reflect the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship. Since 2021, Iron Bark has produced some of the finest woodworking tools in the world, made in small production runs from premium materials. A delight to use, these exceptional tools will inspire you to do your best work.
These squares are ideal for machine setup, checking assemblies, joinery layout, and more. This set includes the 3", 5", and 7" versions.
The bases are machined from solid brass with an ebony infill, featuring two precision-machined reference edges set perfectly parallel. The blades are made from 304 stainless steel and are secured to the base with a brass pin. Each square is set to DIN 875/2 squareness standards and can be finely adjusted via two set screws in the base. Loosen one set screw and tighten the opposing screw to precisely dial in the blade angle.

90/45 Calibration Triangle:
The Ironbark Calibration Triangle is a true precision reference tool, engineered to exceed the accuracy, stability, and durability of conventional aluminum or plastic setup triangles. Machined from solid 304 stainless steel, this triangle is designed to serve as a long-term calibration standard rather than a disposable shop accessory.
At 3 mm (0.118″) thick, the stainless steel body offers exceptional rigidity and dimensional stability, making it far less susceptible to wear, impact damage, or distortion than lighter materials. This stability allows the triangle to maintain its accuracy over years of use in demanding workshop environments.
Accuracy is where the Ironbark Calibration Triangle truly stands apart. Squareness exceeds DIN 875/2, making it more accurate than any other calibration or setup triangle currently available. Both the 90° and 45° reference angles are held to this exceptional standard—an achievement unmatched by competing products. In fact, the 45° angle accuracy is comparable to DIN 875/2 specifications for 90°, providing a level of precision previously unavailable in compact calibration triangles.
The edges feature a purpose-designed finish that allows for close, repeatable contact when setting or checking try squares and miter tools. This ensures reliable referencing without rocking or false readings.
With compact overall dimensions of 75 mm × 75 mm (2.95″ × 2.95″), the triangle is small enough to set tool perpendicularity directly at the machine, yet large enough to accurately calibrate most try squares to within 50 microns (0.0020″) over a 150 mm (5.9″) length.
90/45 Calibration Triangle Specifications:
- Accuracy:
- Squareness exceeds DIN 875/2
- 90° and 45° angles held in calibration-grade tolerances
- Angular error over the length of the 75mm side is less than 0.028 mm (0.0011")
- Application:
- 90° and 45° calibration and setup
- Tool perpendicularity checks
- Try Square and Miter Square Calibration
- Material: 304 Stainless Steel
- Thickness: 3mm (0.188")
- Overall Size: 75mm × 75mm (2.95" × 2.95")
