The Square One Tape Measure was designed to quickly help you find the hypotenuse (square) of anything. It has a dual scale; one side is a standard scale, the other side is an exaggerated hypotenuse scale. Zero math, zero mistakes.

How to use: 

1. Measure with the Standard Scale
From one corner of your workpiece, measure and mark equal distances along two adjacent edges—these will be points “a” and “b.”

2. Measure the Diagonal
Measure the diagonal distance between points “a” and “b” using the hypotenuse scale on the tape measure blade.

3. Check for Accuracy
If the diagonal measurement on the hypotenuse scale matches the distance from the corner to points “a” or “b,” your piece is square.
