Thomas Flinn Pax Taytools 10" Guitar Fret Saw
This saw is made by Thomas Flinn of Sheffield England the last traditional saw and plane maker in the UK and co-branded Pax / Taytools. This 10" Guitar Fret saw is the perfect saw to cut the slots for guitar frets. The saw plate has two holes to allow it to be used in conjunction with an adjustable depth stop. The back is rolled solid brass and 1/2" wide by 0.160" thick. The folded brass back means the blade is held under tension offering excellent rigidity and balance. The weight of the brass back also aids in the fine cutting ability of this saw. The saw plate is 0.022" thick with no set for smooth and controlled cuts. The handle is made from solid Walnut. Blade depth is 1-5/8" with 16 TPI. Saw plate is made from high carbon allow steel for durability and ease of sharpening. The teeth can be resharpened.
