Carter Products 1/2" Strongbore™ Modular Boring System Complete Package

The Strongbore™ Modular Boring System is a group of components that allows the user to bore a starting hole in their work piece to allow for further hollowing or turning. The Strongbore™ boring system is made of 3/4" steel bar stock which makes the system extremely rigid and is a night and day difference compared to the smaller diameter drill extensions currently used by most turners. There is no need for a drill chuck, or MT adapter as all is integrated into the Strongbore™. The base system is comprised of three components- 1. A Morse Taper #2 base 2.A 3" extender rod and 3. A 1/2" shank drill/forstner bit holder. The system is mounted into the tail stock of your lathe and allows you to use the tail stock to drill the start hole. A 6" extender as well as additional 3" extenders are available as accessories. This combo includes the base package with 3" extender for a total length of 9".
