Workbench Dog Hole Drilling Kit Featuring a 3/4" WoodOwl Overdrive Bit
Drilling perpendicular 3/4” bench dog holes a consistent distance from the edge can sometimes be a challenge. We put this kit together to make this process easy and accurate. Included in the kit is a 3/4” ID by 1” OD steel bushing and a 3/4” WoodOwl Overdrive forstner bit.
Make a jig by cutting a piece of 3/4” stock 4” wide by 6” long and marking a center line down the middle and around the front. Determine the distance you want your holes from the edge and make a mark, then drill a 1” hole. Drive the bushing into the hole with a non-marring mallet. Attach a fence to the jig with screws or nails.
Draw lines on your bench where you want holes, align the jig to these lines, clamp, and drill. The WoodOwl bit will drill fast holes with minimal blowout on the bottom.
