Shinwa 6" Rigid Machinist Ruler 4R Graduations with End Grads

One way to up your woodworking game is to upgrade to professional-grade machinist measuring tools. It has the popular 4R markings with 1/8” and 1/16” graduations on one side and quick-reading 1/32” and 1/64” marks on the reverse. This rule also has very handy 1/32” end graduations on both ends of one face, so when placed on its side it can be as a mini height gauge to measure the height of tenon shoulders or set the height of router bits or table saw blades. The super-fine graduation marks have been precision photo-etched and then black-filled for easy readability. These markings will not wear off even after years of abuse. The rule is made from SUS420J2 stainless steel hardened to HRC-40 and then coated with a smooth, hard, non-glare chrome. This hard chrome makes the rule resistant to scratches and corrosion, but also eliminates glare greatly enhancing readability in bright-light conditions. The edges are ground straight and then smoothed so when scribing along the edge with a pencil or marking knife not even the slightest resistance is encountered. The ends are ground square to within 0.001”. The rule is 3/4” wide and 0.032” thick giving the rule rigidity with just a slight amount of flex. Rule comes with a vinyl sleeve for protection when not in use. You will not find a better or more useful rule for the price anywhere.
