This Taytools 100 piece mixed drill bit set includes 14 sizes, ranging from 1/16” to 5/16”. The set includes both high-speed steel twist bits and brad point bits.

 High-speed steel (HSS) drill bits are used or drilling through harder materials such as metal, hardwood and some plastics. HSS drill bits are made from a durable and heat-resistant alloy that allows for high-speed cutting and helps the bit from losing its temper (hardness) due to high temperatures. They are commonly used in machine shops, industrial applications, and for DIY projects that require drilling through metal or hardwoods.

Brad point drill bits are used for drilling wood, plastics and other soft materials. They perform best in domestic and exotic hard and softwoods, plywood, veneer and laminate woods, and acrylics. The brad point tip helps prevent the bit from wandering or slipping, creating a cleaner and more accurate hole. The narrow point also allows for more precise placement of the hole.
