Clifton 770 1-1/8" Wide Bullnose Shoulder Plane, 0.125" Tool Steel Blade, HRC-59-61
The Clifton 770 Bull Nose Plane is crafted to the same exacting standards as all Clifton planes, making it an excellent choice for those seeking a high-quality bullnose plane. The 770 is designed for planing close to abutting sections of wood and preventing tear-out, making it ideal for trimming rebate stop shoulders. The body is machined from premium grey iron casting and precision ground on the sole and sides, with a bright ground finish. The lever arm is made of unbreakable malleable iron, fitting snugly into the body. The cutting iron rests smoothly on machined pads within the body and is adjustable via a knurled screw. All edges have been rounded for comfort during use.
The 1-1/8” wide cutting iron is made from high-quality oil-hardened tool steel, with a hardness of 59-61 Rockwell “C,” and is precision surface ground to 0.125″ thick. Replacement irons are avaialble.
