This German made Kunz compass plane is patterned after the long-discontinued Stanley #113. It is ideal for planing curved surfaces and will adjust to either concave or convex curves. The spring steel sole adjusts by turning the front knob which turns the toothed gear assembly on the side of the plane. Body is epoxy coated grey cast iron. Plane body is 10-1/4" long and weighs in at 3-1/2 pounds. Iron is 1-3/4” wide by .110” thick high carbon German steel hardened to 62 Rockwell C..
